Welcome to Gulf Stream

Gulf Stream

The town may be small, but Gulf Stream, Florida more than makes up for its small size when it comes to exquisite homes and prestigious real estate offerings.  At less than one square mile in size, Gulf Stream is relatively tiny for a community.  However, the residents of Gulf Stream jointly make up one of the highest average incomes of homeowners, of any city in the entire United States.  The 2000 census ranked Gulf Stream as the 11th highest when it comes to cities and towns with high residential incomes.  The mean price for a detached home in 2011 in Gulf Stream was around $994,000.  In fact, the town traces its history back to when it was used as a winter resort for those with a lot of money to spend.  Today, the town is strictly a residential area, with a number of Gulf Stream, Florida homes for sale exclusively to discriminating buyers.

Location

You will find Gulf Stream in the southeastern portion of Palm Beach County, Florida, between Delray Beach and Boynton Beach.  The town is primarily residential, but because it is between the Intracoastal and the Atlantic Ocean, it also draws a lot of tourists to the area.  North Ocean Boulevard, also known as State Road A1A, goes through the town of Gulf Stream.  It is also one of the most beautiful and important highways running north and south throughout Palm Beach County.  Driving along it is its own adventure.
