Picture a secure setting, with resort-style living and a short drive to fine dining, beaches and museums.  That is what you will find when you make the community of Grand Isles your new home. The neighborhood features a guard gate with respectfully sized lots and more than 600 homes.  Lennar Homes and Centex Homes are available in the community, with a variety of floor plans to choose from. The community includes numerous walking paths, which lead to the clubhouse, fitness center, swimming pools and tennis courts.  There are also basketball courts for families to use, and a playground for younger children.  Residents can also rent out a fully equipped social hall. The neighborhood of Grand Isles does fall under a Homeowner’s Association.  Fees paid by homeowners fund basic cable television, the 24/7 guard gate, and maintenance of the common grounds and amenities. You will find the community of Grand Isles about a mile and a half west of US-441 on the north side of Lake Worth Road in the Village of Wellington. The area falls within Palm Beach County, and is close to all the extra features and amenities that South Florida is known for.

Homes in the community of Grand Isles are either one or two-stories.  All have either lakefront or preserve views, built from the late 1990s to 2000. There are five main areas of homes that make up Grand Isles.  Carmel is on the western side, and features its own community pool.  Floor plans range from about 1300 square feet to more than 2,000 square feet.  Homes feature three bedrooms, two baths and a one-car garage. Emerald Bay is just inside the entrance of Grand Isles.  Lots are usually at least ¼ acre.  Floor plans range from 2,500 square feet to 3,200 square feet with homes in the $400,000 range. Emerald Pointe is just past the clubhouse.  Lots are larger in this area.  Floor plans range from 2,100 square feet to 3,200 square feet.  Homes list around $600,000 in this section. Harbor Cover is also near the clubhouse.  Homes are a bit more affordable in this area, with square footage ranging from 1,500 to 2,900.  Sausalito is on the eastern end.  The larger homes start at about 2,400 square feet and max out at about 3,700 square feet.

Living in Grand Isles puts you about 20 minutes away from some of South Florida’s most amazing beaches, parks and fishing.  There are numerous bike trails, picnic areas, and recreational areas to choose from.  The incredible weather provides you the opportunity to experience outdoor activities year-round.  You also have easy access to the Florida Turnpike for getting around and enjoying all that South Florida has to offer. The Grand Isles community is also close to numerous restaurants and shopping venues.  The Mall at Wellington Green is just minutes away, where you will find just about anything a seasoned shopper desires. The Village of Wellington is known for its equestrian facilities.  The area hosts the world-respected International Horse Show and the Winter Equestrian Festival. When it comes to health and safety, there are nearly two dozens hospitals located in the Wellington area.  The Grand Isles community falls within the top-rated Palm Beach County School District.  Younger children have the choice of attending Panther Park Elementary, and older children have Polo Park Middle School.  Numerous private schools also offer admission for the area.  As for higher education, there are several colleges and universities located near, and around, the Village of Wellington.
