Experience fine living for the active 55+ adult, when you enter Avalon Estates.  The community includes 365 single-family, Mediterranean-style homes built by Northstar Homes and Engle Homes between 2003 and 2005. The center of the upscale community features a Grand Clubhouse, and several recreational features, including six night-lit, Har-Tru tennis courts with tennis pros on-site, a fitness center, computer labs and Bocce Ball courts.  The area also includes an arts and crafts center with a kiln, a billiard room, and a heated, partially covered, resort-style swimming pool with saunas.  Not to be outdone, you will also find three shuffleboard courts, a horseshoe pitching pit and a golf putting green.  No matter your sport, you are sure to find it at Avalon. The community is truly resort-style living at its best.  A social director helps residents schedule events, shows and classes.  This helps homeowners take advantage of all the planned activities and live entertainment scheduled throughout the year.  Unique for the area is a theatre/ball room for residents to enjoy. There is even a tot-lot, and half-court basketball court for the times grandchildren and other young relatives come to visit. The community of Avalon Estates is found in the West Boynton Beach portion of Palm Beach County.  Boynton Beach is the third largest city in Palm Beach County, with plenty of options for residents to enjoy. The neighborhood is located between Boynton Beach Boulevard and Atlantic Avenue, on the west side of Hagen Ranch Road.  This gives residents easy access to both the Florida Turnpike and I-95. Many homes in the community of Avalon Estates range in price from around $300,000 to the $500,000s.  Expect three to four bedrooms, with two to two-and-a-half baths and an attached garage.  Square footage for the Engle Homes range from just under 1,900 square feet to more than 2,300 square feet.  These homes have zero lot lines.  Northstar Homes are a little larger, ranging from 2,400 to more than 2,700 square feet.  Northstar homes include full lots.

Numerous dining options are right outside the gates of Avalon Estates.  A number of restaurants reside along Jog Road and Hagen Ranch Road. Shoppers will appreciate a short drive to Boynton West Shopping Center off Military Trail.  One of the benefits of living at Avalon Estates is that the community often organizes day trips to the numerous attractions in the Boynton Beach area.  Weekend trips are also occasionally planned for residents.  Boynton Beach features several historical landmarks, including the Andrews Home.  The building is the oldest home in the area.  As for the beach, it is just a short drive away.  Palm Beach County operates 79 public parks across the county, with various outdoor sports and activities.  The county also includes more than 150 private and public golf courses.  As for travelers, Palm Beach International Airport is about a 25-minute drive from Avalon Estates. Although some residents of Avalon Estates area are already retired, tourism is a big part of the community.  Thousands of jobs are tied to restaurants, hotels and other related businesses. The closest medical facility to Avalon Estates is Bethesda Outpatient Surgery on Hagen Ranch Road.Avalon Estates is an adult community, but the area the community resides in is within the boundaries of the highly acclaimed and respected School District of Palm Beach County.  Hagen Road Elementary School, Odyssey Middle School and Atlantic Community High School are all nearby.
