Residents of Equus attend public school within the School District of Palm Beach County.  The community falls within the boundaries of Sunset Palms Elementary School, Olympic Heights High School and Odyssey Middle School. Several nearby private and parochial schools also accept students from the Equus community. As well, the Palm Beach County area is home to a number of colleges and universities for older students, both public and private.
