If you are looking for beautiful lake views and an outstanding neighborhood, Farmington Estates is a fantastic place to make your next home.  Formerly called Whitehorse Estates, the neighborhood features many incredible homes built by Lowell Home Builders. The outstanding community includes more than 200 single-family homes, all built between the mid 90s and the early 2000s.  It is a non-gated community with well-kept yards and lovely community grounds.  You will find large lakes and winding streets that lead up to large lots and beautiful homesteads.You have the choice of cul-de-sac, preserve or premium lake lots for your home.  All of the private lots range from ¼ acre to ¾ acres, a real bonus for this area. Homeowner’s Association fees are low in Farmington Estates, compared to other nearby surrounding communities.  Fees go to pay for the maintenance of common areas in the neighborhood.  Due to the fees, there are fewer amenities available to homeowners in this community then there are to other surrounding neighborhoods.You will find the community of Farmington Estates just off the Florida Turnpike, on the eastern border of the Village of Wellington.  More specifically, it is on the west side of US-441, just north of Lake Worth Road.  This positions you within ten miles of West Palm Beach.

Technically located in the unincorporated portion of Palm Beach County, this is a beautiful place to call home.  Wellington ranks nationally as one of the best places for families to live.Home prices in Farmington Estates range from $200,000 to more than $400,000.  You have the choice of multiple builders, with one or two-story, open floor plans.  Homes traditionally have vaulted ceilings and upgrades throughout.  Many of the homes feature screened in porches and large yards with outstanding lake views or placement along the canals. As for square footage, the homes start at just under 1,500 and go upwards of 3,700 square feet.  Many homes have private pools and are CBS construction. Living in Farmington Estates puts you close to the equestrian communities that make a home in the Village of Wellington.  The Palm Beach Polo club is a short distance away, as are the Jim Brandon Equestrian Center and the world-class Wellington Horse Show. If shopping is more your pleasure, residents of Farmington Estates have convenient access to the Mall at Wellington Green.  You will find a variety of stores here, sure to cater to most every style and budget.  Also nearby is the relatively new shopping corridor along State Road 7.

If you are in search of a relaxing day or weekend at the beach, you will find it a short distance away from Farmington Estates.  Miles of white, sandy beaches await you and your family along some of the area’s most picturesque locations.  Several parks and fishing spots are also located in the area, giving you the option of several outdoor activities. Unemployment in the region is around 10%, which is a little more than the national average. As for nearby hospitals, you will find the Wellington Regional Hospital located nearby on Forest Hill Boulevard.  Also close to Farmington Estates is Palms West Hospital on Southern Boulevard.Younger residents of Farmington Estates may attend public school within the top-rated Palm Beach County School District. Several private schools are also located in the Village of Wellington, as are numerous colleges and universities.
