Aero Club is a neighborhood situated in the Village of Wellington, Florida that is like no other.  Residents can nearly fly right to their doorstops in this private airpark community.  The luxurious custom built homes each sit on one acre of land.  A 4,000 foot lighted runway sits in the center of the community, for use exclusively by Aero Club residents.Some homes offer their own private hangars.  Others are runway, taxiway and tie-down home sites.  No matter the home’s location in the community, though, the runway provides quick and easy access for all.  An on-site aviation refueling facility is also available to residents.  Owning an airplane is not a requirement, but the facilities are first class if you do.The community lends an air of exclusivity with less than 250 homes making up the neighborhood.  Within the entrance of Aero Club is a community clubhouse.  It features a fully equipped kitchen, game room and billiards for residents to use.  Multiple builders have homes to show in the neighborhood.  It is surrounded on three sides by deep-water canals.  The fourth side is fenced, though there are only two main entrances to the private community. All homes in Aero Club are covered by a homeowner’s association, which does charge HOA fees.  Those fees help provide maintenance for the paved runway, pilothouse and common areas.

Aero Club is located on the northwest corner of Aero Club Drive and Greenbriar Boulevard.  That is off 441, not far from the Florida Turnpike, in the western portion of Palm Beach County, Florida.The Village of Wellington was named one of the Top 100 best places to live by Money Magazine in 2010. The luxury estate homes of Aero Club start at a few thousand square feet and go upwards of 10,000 square feet.  All of the homes are custom built, so no two are exactly alike.  Prices of the handsome estate homes generally range from $700,000 to upwards of four million dollars.  The homes include four to six bedroom floor plans. Most homes do include open floor plans, custom-built cabinetry, crown molding, designer finishes and flexible living areas.  Homes also feature oversized master bedrooms and plenty of land outside to build your own private oasis, sheltered from the outside world.

Once you are within Aero Club, you feel a quiet seclusion.  Outside its borders, though, you are just minutes from the Village of Wellington’s finest restaurants and more than 150 golf courses to choose from. If shopping is your sport, you will find everything you desire at the Mall at Wellington Green.  It features big name retailers and specialty shops. Not far from Aero Club, you will also find miles of beautiful white sand Florida beaches along the Atlantic Ocean.  Along with this, you can take part in some of the finest fishing spots in all of Florida.  For riding enthusiasts, the International Horse Show, polo grounds and Winter Equestrian Festival are a short drive away. Unemployment in the region hovers around 10%, slightly higher than the national average.  Job growth has been down in recent years. As far as health and safety, there are nearly two dozens hospitals in the Wellington region. If your family is looking for top-notch public education, the Palm Beach County School District is highly rated.  It serves the Village of Wellington, including Aero Club residents.  There are 11 schools in the district, along with several private schools to choose from.  A handful of colleges and universities also call Wellington home.
