If you are searching for an active adult, 55+ community, with enough activities to fill your social calendar, you have found it.  Along with all of this, you get an amazing home to call your own when you make Baywinds your new community. At the center of the homes, you will find a clubhouse with a full fitness center, billiards room, saunas, a library and a ballroom.  There are also two bocce courts, six tennis courts, four shuffleboard courts, and three pools for residents to enjoy.  Not to be overlooked, are an arts and crafts studio and a ceramics studio on-site.  If you are searching for a social club to belong to, there are numerous clubs already established within the community, including everything for sports enthusiasts to writers and theater fans. There are more than 1000 units in Baywinds, making up 12 unique neighborhoods.  Built between the years of 2000 and 2006, there are eleven lakes and nature areas throughout the community.  You can see the best of the neighborhood first-hand by using one of the numerous walking and biking paths throughout the area. Baywinds is centrally located just off Okeechobee Boulevard and Baywinds Drive in West Palm Beach, Florida. This area of Palm Beach County provides easy access to both The Florida Turnpike and to I-95, near downtown West Palm Beach.  It is a fantastic area for active adults to make their next home.

 

The homes of Baywinds include condominiums, attached villas, coach homes and single-family homes.  Homes range in price from the mid $100,000s to high $200,000s. The homes by Lennar are perfect for active adults, with open floor plans, ranging in size from 1,600 square feet to around 2,500 square feet.  The homes include at least two bedrooms, with two baths and a two-car garage.  Some also include dens. The attached villas are single-level homes, with back patios and include mostly water views.  Meanwhile, the two-story townhomes feature two bedrooms, two baths and private porches.  Most condominiums feature water views with assigned parking lots and elevators.  Just outside the community of Baywinds you will find various restaurants to choose from, including those great for family visits, and some for that special night out.

Also nearby, is CityPlace.  It is a great area to catch a movie, a bite to eat, and find just the right gift for a friend or loved one.  The venue features several big name, national retailers.  A short drive away, shoppers can also delight in the shops at The Gardens Mall, The Mall at Wellington Green, or nearby Worth Avenue in Palm Beach.

 

If you are looking for additional places to spend an incredible evening, or entertain guests, try the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts.  From Broadway to Opera the choices are endless throughout the year. For those interested in a short day trip, Palm Beach International Airport is just a few minutes away.  If you feel like driving, Fort Lauderdale is just a short drive away. Unemployment in the area of West Palm Beach, Florida is around seven percent, although many residents of Baywinds are retirees. There are numerous nearby hospitals that cater to residents of Baywinds and the surrounding community.

 

Although this area of West Palm Beach does fall within the top-rated School District of Palm Beach County, it is an adult community. If you are looking to keep close to younger family members, Palm Beach Atlantic University is one of the numerous universities and colleges located in the West Palm Beach area.
