Enjoy the lifestyle of a gated community, with homes surrounding a beautiful lake, when you make your new home in Sunterra.  The community was built starting in 2005 on the site of a former abandoned golf course.  The area now includes 126 homes with a clubhouse and  heated community swimming pool.  You will find the community of Sunterra near North Military Trail and Belvedere Road in West Palm Beach.  This area is close to many of the activities that make Palm Beach County what it is.

The homes of Sunterra start at around $195,000 for a three bedroom, two bath home.  Expect a two-car garage.  There are actually several floor plans to choose from.  The Azalea includes nearly 1,600 square feet with three bedrooms, two baths, two dining areas and two living areas under one story.  The Bayleaf is also one story, with 1,800 square feet of living space.  The Evergreen has 2,100 square feet under one story.  Two story options include between four and six bedrooms, with two-and-a-half to four baths and up to three living areas.  Expect to find vaulted ceilings, granite countertops and stainless steel appliances.  Other features include walk-in closets, storm shutters, and covered patios and CBS construction throughout.

West Palm Beach, Florida offers a number of activities for both families and retirees.  The downtown area includes the trendy Clematis Street District with numerous boutiques and dining locations.  Worth Avenue includes designer stores and fine dining, while CityPlace is more of a traditional shopping mall.  It includes more than 100 retailers, including many specialty shops as well as national retail chains.  For family entertainment, the Meyer Amphitheater features outdoor concerts and entertainment.  The annual SunFest also brings in music and art to the waterfront area each spring.  Adults will enjoy the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts.  The facility hosts the ballet, opera, and live concerts.  The Norton Museum of Art is also the place to soak up the culture and artistic side of the community.  It is the largest art museum in all of Florida.  The Palm Beaches are not far from Sunterra.  Here you will find 47 miles of white sandy beaches, and lots of outdoor activities to take part in.  Enjoy fishing, diving and boating in the region, while soaking up the year-round sunshine and mild temperatures of South Florida.  The Intracoastal is also close to this region.  For sports enthusiasts, check out one of more than 150 private and public golf courses in Palm Beach County.  There is also the opportunity to catch a glimpse of professional baseball during Spring Training in the area.  Nearby Delray Beach hosts the International Tennis Championships and the Village of Wellington is known for its equestrian facilities.  Also in the area, is the National Croquet Center.  It is the largest center of its kind in the entire world.  A number of hospitals are located in this area of Palm Beach County, including Military Trail Medical Center, Imperial Medical Center, West Palm Hospital and Good Samaritan Medical Center, among others.  Students living in Sunterra attend public school at Wynnebrook Elementary School, Jeaga Middle School and Royal Palm Beach High School.  All three schools are within the A-rated School District of Palm Beach County.  The large public school district is one of the area’s largest employers, as well.  The area also features a number of private schools to choose from including The King’s Academy, Cardinal Newman High School and Oxbridge Academy.  As for higher education, Palm Beach Atlantic University is located in downtown West Palm Beach.  Other nearby colleges include Keiser University and Northwood University, also located in West Palm Beach.
