If you are looking for a home situated right on the water, look no further than Meadowland Cove.  The community features a Lake Wellington boat ramp.  Some homes even have their own private docks where residents can park their boats. The community of Meadowland Cove also features a community pool, a clubhouse and a children’s play area.  It is a very desirable neighborhood for families and for retirees alike. There are about 300 homes built around Lake Wellington, a 150-acre oasis for residents.  Residents may use non-gasoline powered motorboats, canoes and sailboats.  Fishing is also permitted on the lake. Homes range from about 1,300 square feet to more than 2,800 square feet.  Prices range from about $200,000 to a little more than $400,000.  The homes are constructed of concrete block and stucco. Although many of the homes are older than some found in surrounding communities, you will likely find upgrades and remodels throughout.Living in Meadowland Cove puts you right in the middle of the action when it comes to water sports.  If the ocean is more to your liking, though, some of South Florida’s most stunning beaches are a short drive away.  You will also find more opportunities for fishing and other outdoor activities at the numerous parks.

Golf courses are hardly in short supply, with dozens of private and public courses available.  As far as shopping, the choices are hard to beat with the Mall at Wellington Green top of mind.  The location features national retailers and hard to find items at specialty stores. As far as restaurants, the choices are endless.  Many family-style restaurants have locations in the area, as do some fine-dining establishments for those special nights out.  After dinner you can head out to one of the numerous venues for plays and shows.  The Kravis Center for the Performing Arts is just a short drive away. The Village of Wellington is probably best known for its equestrian lifestyle.  There are first class equine facilities in the area, as well as the International Horse Show and the Winter Equestrian Festival.  Both bring in visitors from all over the world. Numerous hospitals service the area to keep nearby residents healthy and safe. The well-respected Palm Beach County School District covers the area of Wellington and the community of Meadowland Cove.  Younger students attend Wellington Elementary School, while teenagers attend Wellington High School.  Although public schools are top-rated in this area, there are also various private schools to choose from.  For higher education, several colleges and universities are conveniently located in the Wellington area of Palm Beach County, Florida.
