Enjoy oversized lots in an upscale community when you make your next home in Pinewood.  The community dates from the late 1970s to the early 2000s.  A number of builders are behind the unique and inviting community.  You will find the community of Pinewood directly south of Southern Boulevard, off Forest Hill Boulevard, within the Village of Wellington.  This area of Palm Beach County has a direct commute down Southern Boulevard into the city of West Palm Beach.  Wellington is ranked one of the top places to live in the nation.

There are a number of sub-divisions, which make up the community of Pinewood.  They include, Pinewood East, Pinewood Manor, and Pinewood Grove.  Forest Hill Boulevard runs through the middle of the development.  Lot sizes are generous, from ½ acre to five acres in size.  Some of the homes include waterfront views, private swimming pools and spas, plus screened in courtyards.  Other homes have outdoor kitchens to enjoy the incredible weather of South Florida year-round.  Expect to find homes from around 2,400 square feet to well upwards of 7,000 square feet.  Prices range from less than $200,000 to more than $950,000 for some homes.  Expect to find homes with high-end, custom cabinetry and upgraded countertops and flooring.  Other common features include open floor plans, and plenty of storage.

Pinewood provides a rural setting; with easy access to all that city living has to offer.  The community is close to the equestrian facilities of Wellington.  The area boasts the Winter Equestrian Festival, which brings thousands of visitors to the area each year.  There are also a number of other equestrian events and facilities at home in the region.  As for other outdoor activities, a number of golf courses are at home in Palm Beach County.  There are more than 150 private and public courses across the region, with every skillset in mind.  Shoppers will enjoy the countless shopping venues.  The Mall at Wellington Green is really a shopping destination.  It includes more than 100 specialty shops, plus retail chain stores packed under one roof.  This area also provides a number of upscale shopping venues as well as fine dining locations.  If a more casual environment is what you area after, you will find it, as well, in the area of Wellington.  When it comes to other entertainment options, the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts is a valued part of the community.  It brings in several big entertainment acts each year to the enjoyment of locals and tourists.  The area also includes a variety of museums and historical sites just waiting to be discovered.  Whether you have a young family, or you are simply young at heart, you are sure to enjoy all that the Palm Beach County area has to offer.  For traveling, Pinewood is less than a 20-minute drive from Palm Beach International Airport.  This makes it easy to explore the rest of South Florida.  The area is not far from Wellington Regional Medical Center, making healthcare easy to access.  There are also a number of other hospitals serving residents in the region.  Younger children living in Pinewood attend Wellington Elementary School.  Older students attend either Wellington Landings Middle School or Wellington Community High School.  All of these public schools are within the School District of Palm Beach County.  The district is the largest employer in the region, with the school district being one of the largest by population in the entire nation.  Various private schools are also close to Pinewood, giving parents several options to choose from.  There are also a number of colleges and universities found in Palm Beach County.
